Exposure to ultraviolet radiation causes a pair of specific T cell types in the skin to intervene to suppress inflammation and help the skin repair itself, according to a new study.
The study, published online in Clinical & Translational Immunology (Apr. 2, 2020), found that T cells D4+GATA3+ and CD8+GATA3+ are sent to the inflamed area and can affect the area for two weeks.
