Taking a probiotic while pregnant may help prevent eczema in children


The chances of a child developing eczema in the first 11 years of their life are reduced by half when lactobacillus rhamnosus (HN001) was given to pregnant women throughout the late stage of their pregnancy and into the breast-feeding stage, and then given to children for two years (Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Aug. 2018).
