By combining two existing therapies, researchers at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London have found that they have been able to stop or even reverse the progression of advanced melanoma in half of patients.
The two therapies, ipilimumab and nivolumab, were tested on patients over the course of five years.
The findings were published online ahead of print in the New England Journal of Medicine (Sept. 28, 2019).
