Ninth annual Walk for Camp Liberte

On June 11, 2025, Chronicle Companies joined Galderma Canada for the 9th annual Walk for Camp Liberté, raising money to send children with moderate to severe skin disease to the specialized summer camp.

Camp Liberté is an independent charitable organization run by volunteer Canadian dermatologists. Their mission is to provide children with moderate to severe skin disease with the opportunity to take part in an outdoor camping experience in a bilingual and supportive environment.

Medical staff at the camps ensure medical compliance with topical creams, oral medications and of course, sunscreen.

Now expanded to five sites across Canada, Camp Liberté provides a whole week of away-camp experience at no cost to the children or their families, supported by volunteers and donations.

The Camp is an exceptional opportunity for children who have been discriminated against or isolated due to their skin disease to develop confidence, friendships, and self-esteem.

This year’s walk started from Galderma Canada’s future home in downtown Toronto at 161 Bay St. and circled through Harbourfront and past the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower before returning past the historic Fairmont Royal York hotel.

Every $2,500 raised sends one child to camp, and Galderma Canada has pledged to match every dollar donated. Donations remain open at this link until midnight on Sunday, June 15.
