The deadline to apply for the American Academy of Dermatology’s (AAD’s) 2016 Cochrane Scholarship is rapidly approaching, with submissions accepted up to Oct. 30, 2015, according to the academy. Application forms are available at the AAD’s website.
AAD members and graduating residents from the U.S. and Canada are eligible for the scholarship, according to the AAD. Two recipients will receive a travel grant of up to $3,000 to attend the 2016 Cochrane Colloquium in Seoul, South Korea, where they will learn the most current techniques for developing systematic reviews.
Scholarship recipients will also be introduced to the Cohrane Skin Group, opening up international professional networking opportunities.
Upon returning home after the colloquium, scholarship recipients will be expected to develop their own systematic review, in an area of dermatology which supports the AAD’s clinical guideline development, or will update and highlight areas for future dermatologic basic and clinical research, according to the AAD’s web page.
