This year Hidradenitis Suppurativa Awareness Week runs from June 4 through 10. To mark the event, on Tuesday, June 5th at 7 p.m. EST, Ottawa-based dermatologist Dr. Mark Kirchhof and the Canadian Skin Patient Alliance will be hosting a Twitter Chat about the skin condition. Dr. Kirchhof is the head of the division of dermatology, faculty of medicine, at the University of Ottawa.
The purpose of the chat is to raise awareness about hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), and to provide a space for Twitter users to ask an expert dermatologist questions about HS – especially as they relate to busting common myths about the disease. This chat, which will use the hashtag #HonestWithHS, is being sponsored by AbbVie Canada.
